Wilderness has officially started its summer! With 17 groups from Project Success and a group from Como Park Lutheran in St. Paul, we have had a busy couple of weeks. All the groups had meaningful, exciting trips. Before going on trail, the campers learned about the flora and fauna of the North Woods, about the Leave No Trace policy, and about paddling and portaging canoes. On their 5-night trips, the groups not only learned about camping and canoeing in the BWCA, but also about teamwork, self-confidence, and the power of a positive attitude. We’re excited to welcome another round of Project Success campers today and a total of 11 groups this weekend from Resurrection Lutheran in Monticello, Grace Lutheran in Grafton, WI, Saint John Lutheran in Council Bluffs, IA, Wooddale Lutheran in Saint Louis Park, and Gethsemane Lutheran in Hopkins.
